Are You Waiting
02:40
|
|||
Are you waiting for the words
To end up baiting genius out from the absurd
Are you waiting for the night
Are you waiting for your stomach to break down the cellulite
Are you waiting for a fight
Are you waiting to see the Northern Lights
Are you waiting to be inspired
Are you waiting for the rocks to shred your tires
Are you waiting for the rest to kick in
Devastating when your senses blur and life begins
Are you waiting for the middle part
Are you waiting for money to fit the charts
Timing is everything
Timing is everything
Are you waiting for a cliche
I've got plenty, but time's up to make our lemonade
Are you waiting to get more tone
Are you waiting for the sweet, subtle moan
Are you waiting for that 5 to 1
Are you waiting for a final one-on-one
Are you waiting for the song to end
Are you waiting for a friend, for a friend

Easy For Me
03:54
|
|||
Can you make it easy for me?
I'll make it easy for you to follow along.
Can you make it easy for me?
I'll make it easy for you to give me a break.
I won't change
Wait and see.
I won't change
Can you make a guarantee
Of giving me a little comfort of where I belong
Can you make a guarantee
Of giving me a little corner of your heart for me to take
If I give positivity,
Can you give little hint that you were wrong?
If I give a desole
I'll show you that I love you all the love I won't fake
It never changes me
It never changes me

What's your favorite body part?
It can have a mind
It can hold your heart
It can be easy to find
What's your favorite body part?
Is it nice and smooth
It can be in a whole subgenre of art
It can be woken with a smooch
Is it your...
Is it your...
What's your favorite body part?
It can like to move
It can fill the cart
It can sit behind the groove
What's your favorite body part?
Is it banned from TV?
Doctors have one that's state of the art.
Is it the size of a pea?
Is it your...
Is it your...
Is it your...
Is it your...
What"s your favorite body part?
Can it have a soul?
Paint a pretty picture, build a light fixture
Pay a hefty toll?
What's your favorite body part?
Can it remind you of what you missed?
Does it fill up with lots of lint?
Does it give your daughter a kiss?
Is it your....
is it your....
is it your....
is it your....

His Song
03:32
|
|||
Forget about your problems
They're not what you want
You've got so many loved ones
Cause I'm one
I wrote about friendship
And bound it to my heart
The pages got lost and
it's best that we part
And I'm scraping along
My wife and my children
Laugh down the stairs
I look at my dinner
nothing I care for
And I'm scraping along
I taught the lot of them wonders
I kept nothing for my own
I gave systems and hours and anecdotes
And I still tote baggage for the life that I've blown
And I'm scraping along x4
My brother is fearful
And my sister doesn't care
My parents are living
God demands my fare.
And I'm scraping along
I showed them how hatred
To self and to cause
Can wind up making
A future of flaws
And I'm scraping along

Color Blue
03:18
|
|||
Your life is charged to 13%
And it beeps and teems with decent intent
And I know you know it'll be there for you
When it's dark outside and there isn't much to do
So you stare and laugh and laugh some more then
You bring your life back to where it's probably been
How's your work? How's your thoughts? Don't mention your life.
It's getting lonelier still, though we edged out on the knife
It's fine though, I'm fine though cause I know
You weren't born to put your life in your hands if any-
Thing you held a brush and painted portraits and lands that were filled with
Where I wanted to go
who I wanted to meet, but I guess we'll
Talk and talk about humor and news, cause if there's any-
Thing your life belongs to, it's the color blue
Not my favorite color, and it's not yours either
They didn't tell you, they didn't bring you
To a place where you can finally create and be seen
They didn't show you a letter of rejection that could
turn into living near the mountains and sea
And take on the world
Take on the world

Tell Me I'm on Fire
04:16
|
|||
Threw it away with your homework, and not a
Moment too soon, I see the officianata
Playing at my heartstrings fast-er, if I wanna
Live another quarter life, like the quarters he collects
Store what little I got.
It's such a wild time filled with artery clots.
Let's send it in a prayer
Give me a rag, one in the sink
Some more of nature has gotta go
And where it does is up to me, you know
This trash can isn't running low
Rewarding, I'm soaring
I'm 50 that's nifty
Tell me, I'm on fire
I'm nauseous, sire
It's gone it's gone
it's gone it's gone
Scared the pets, out of debt
It's gone, it's gone
it's gone it's gone
It's a good one had a
good run. Gon-na
start the washer, Gotta mix for hours
Watch em all eat dinner and then I'll take a shower
Dreams I've never had
Wishing I was a dad
Couldn't find it, that doesn't happen to me (repeat)

Friends of Mine
02:44
|
|||
There's one that likes to jam and sober
He likes wearing tanks stained with bleach
Made a girl play red rover
She came in like baby, in breach
Their just friends of mine
You met them?
Their just friends of mine
This one's got a boat and children
He's got someone near better than me
Guess her Instagram is hidden
She preferred coffee to iced tea
Their just friends of mine
You met them?
They're just friends of mine
Foundation was shot, it caved in
Mother did a lot of crazy
Replaced a sense of dread for sin
Shooting guns have stopped, but it didn't stop him from baby
Their just friends of mine
You met them?
They're just friends of mine

The Cicada
02:41
|
|||
He died on the steps
Crack to the head
With the rain dripping down his wings
Seven years, he said
And all lived to be dead
Most of them hearing a boy scream a few things
Something about help
Something about a girl thats stuck in his mind
The winged man thought, "I had forgot,
The boy and girl could never hope to be."
Gifted with flight,
He saw those two fight
The boy would stand laughing and the girl frowned in her chest
The season flew on by
Passed his five eyes
All of them mistaking the girl for her guest
The guest that would come
A girl that was pretty, commanding yet kind
The winged man bet, "This guest's silhouette
Is putting the test to this boy's matrimony"
Cicada blessed him,
The boy, whose guest, was trim
A long happy marriage in his last dying breath
The sad girl from before
Her heart was torn
Her trust was defeated, but her love...

Is It Love
06:15
|
|||
Does every thought have to come here?
Every time that it does makes it unclear
Pathetic words at pathetic times in my ear:
Is it love?
How many words must I speak and must I listen
How many ticks from the the clock must I christen
Do those big eyes have to glisten for me to know
If it's love?
Should I sing with different type of cadence?
Does my lover need a certain type of radiance?
Do these questions give direction for my credence
To find love? Can love be found? Love renowned?
Does the setting have to match a certain feeling?
Does the person need a person for their healing?
Does my head have to reach up to the ceiling, to guess
If it's love
Doesn't blindness make a seer of the broken?
Doesn't muteness make it easy for a friend to be open?
Doesn't deafness make a genius to the motions?
And thus make some love?
Does every thought have to come here?
Every time that it does makes it unclear
Innocence, penitence, which will give me love?
Will I know if it is love?
