Do those big eyes have to glisten for me to know
If it's love?

Does my lover need a certain type of radiance?
Do these questions give direction for my credence
To find love? Can love be found? Love renowned?

Does the setting have to match a certain feeling?
Does the person need a person for their healing?
Does my head have to reach up to the ceiling, to guess
If it's love

Doesn't blindness make a seer of the broken?
Doesn't muteness make it easy for a friend to be open?
Doesn't deafness make a genius to the motions?
And thus make some love?

Does every thought have to come here?
Every time that it does makes it unclear
Innocence, penitence, which will give me love?
Will I know if it is love?
